Okay, perhaps we're both to blame. I just know people tell me all the time, "it's impossible to hear 'tone' over the internet." To me, my stupid sense of humor is so obviously stupid that everyone should pick up on it, but there is something to be said for 'tone.' I've gotten into trouble on a number of occasions, offending people because what I think is obviously sarcastic does not appear that way to others over the internet. Hence my conclusion that I need to do better with emoticons and other such forms of communication (LOL, ROTFLOL, ad nauseam...). Now that we got that all straightened out...
