Greetings!
My name is Alex. I'm a classic liberal who hails from Denver, Colorado.
Hope to see you around!

I'm a classic liberal
I call that "lower case "l" liberal".
Sad how the collectivists have hijacked that word.

I rarely come across a neoliberal who actually knows what it means.
For those who do, Adam Smith is rolling in his grave.
Edit: Of course, I probably confuse the hell out of people when I leave out the "al" in classical. ;)

i could smell your pie and followed you over to this little corner in the WWW......
Now that you mention it, we've needed a fresh cherry pie to counter my stagnant apple. I'm very glad to see you here. :)

m... err... Alex,
If dictator I would, as first order, do away with 'birthday cake' and decree 'birthday pie' as the desert served on such an occasion. Good decree?

Not quite how individualism works. ;)

True.
I will limit the decree
to the dominion of me.
But while on the stump
to gain me a bump,
I will promise birthday pie for all!
Sorry couldn't resist.

LOL! Creative! That could get expensive. ;)

The government's good for it—another $700 billion should do fine. We can bailout all those poor, deprived souls living in bondage for so many years, having been told cake is what you eat on birthdays.

You are a bad man.

You are a bad man.
Is that 'bad' like, "Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba Bad" as AC/DC would say?
Or is that 'bad' in the classic sense, as you are a "classic liberal"?
Or 'bad' in the hip, cool kind of Micheal Jackson way, "because I'm bad, I'm bad, you know it!"?

Do you overanalyze everything? ;)

Something I'm working to correct. You got me.
Something I'm working on. You got me.
Zany!! :-)

Yea. Sorry, I get carried away sometimes. I'm serious about your assessment though, it is quite accurate. I overanalyze stuff all the time, even myself—it was very astute of you to pose that question. I'll shut up now.

LOL! Relax. It's all good.

I found your candidate and mine:
Barack Obama: Too Much Pie For One Guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZOxqVl5oP4)
So much for the phrase "As American as apple pie."
I'll keep that in mind as I finish filling out my mail-in ballot. ;)

I don't know anything about that phrase. My heritage is British/Scottish, where coincidentally apple pie originated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_pie#The_English_pudding).
"We cannot claim to have invented the apple pie, just to have perfected it."

Touché. I will now be eating crow, or as the American's say, "eat humble pie."
*laugh* I'm sure it's just a matter of taste.
The best apple pie I've ever had was in Dusseldorf.
The best sushi I've ever had was in Stockholm.
It's whatever you like!

Name dropper!... well... uh... the best... goat cheese I've ever had was in Ecuador. So there.
It's whatever you like!
Ah, full circle, back to individualism.
Pie, whatever your taste, is superior to cake is the agreed upon position.

Brilliant. I need to be schooled in the efficiency of voting I guess. Now, I will see if I can get me one of those write-in ballots. Really, we need to do this thing on the internet.
I don't trust internet voting. After years in infosec, I'm really liking pen and paper.

Good point. I didn't think of that...come to think of it I didn't think when I said, "do this thing on the internet."
I just downloaded my application for an absentee ballot, thanks!
