Why do conspiracy theorists try to discredit religion before making allegations?

Care to give an example?

Because it's so much fun. Because they have an agenda. I don't know.

Without specific examples it's hard to discuss.

Reminds me of a Scientology recruiting video.

I have watched 3 movies last night.
1) Zeitgeist.
The first part is full of lies. It took me a while to look up several claims about Greek history, Egyptian myths etc and after about 70 percent of claims being wrong, I got tired.
I started this thread looking up a lot, and was thinking maybe some of you watched it and have some input on your own.
2)
Loose change.
There are interesting questions being raised. But several important parts of the investigation are being overlooked and overshadowed by soundbites of 9/11 witnesses saying "It sounded like bombs going off" in order to create credibility to what the movie was trying to prove.
Again, there were important questions raised, but the "proof" provided was overshadowed by bogus misrepresentation of events.
3) Fahrenheit 9/11
I have to tell you that after the first 2 flicks, this was fun to watch.
It was entertaining.
It was not as far fetched and there was some interesting points raised. Overall, Mike Moore is a funny guy and a good entertainer.
I used to watch his TV show in the 80s and always cracked up over his style.
Watching him do what he does makes me feel good knowing my family lives in a Democracy (I am not in the U.S. but in Costa Rica).

So back to your post: No, I started this thread prematurely. Watching 3 in a row I was hoping someone would be here to share some links.
A friend tried me to get to watch those for a while, and finally I did.
Needless to say, everytime there was a moment he considered proof that 9/11 was an inside job, I had to listen to the "See, told you!!!!" exclaim.

Anyways, there are 2 things about Loose Change which I am interested in watching and knowing more about which have to do with the planes crashing into the Pentagon and the plane crashing in Pennsylvania.

Besides that, most of what I watched is going to be ignored based on the fact that too many lies are used to prove whatever point they think they have.

So I've seen the movie, now. The end is absolutely propaganda overkill. The makers certainly have an agenda. However, the beginning does make some legitimate points about the Christian religion.

Where did you find them to be 70% wrong? What were your sources?

What are you alleging, Firetown?
