Clever, besides Jesus' first miracle was turning water into wine to keep a party going.

Yeah, but wine back then had only a few % of alcohol by volume and was basically equal to today's beer, just obviously grape derived rather than grain. That was actually the safest way to drink water back then since it had the effect of sterilizing the water.

Did you hear that they rediscovered how to make the beer that the Egyptians drank? Said to be 'fruity' in flavor due to the addition of dates >.> Also, made with a two-step process. http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/beer.html
There's a company that now produces it commercially. I don't have details on that, however.

I did hear about this since I am a self professed beer-geek. I also do not know of the company to which you refer. Although, a company called Dogfish Head reproduced a beer with the help of an archeologist from a dig at the ancient kingdom of Phrygia in central Turkey dating back to 700 B.C. After examining the chemical compounds found on a piece of pottery at the dig they discovered the ingredients of the beverage contained within: barley, white Muscat grapes, honey and saffron. The beer they created is called Midas Touch since the dig was in a tomb of King Midas. IMO, it is a fine beverage with much complexity...if you can get your hands/lips/taste-buds on the stuff you will not be disappointed.
Cheers!
