Time to update that old saying "cold hands, warm heart." New research shows touching something warm can make you feel and act more warmly toward others.
A study by Yale University scientists found that physical warmth can promote psychological warmth.

Whether someone is deemed to have a "warm" or "cold" personality makes a powerful first impression. That led Yale University scientists to wonder if physical warmth could promote psychological warmth, by subconsciously priming people to think better of others.

This does explain my apparent "coldness." I prefer colder climates, theromostate set somewhere around 67 degrees.

Mine usually hovers around 75F. Me no likey cold. ;)

Unlikely for me since I don't like warmness at close proximity with me especially at hot days. I'll more likely to punched or pushed whoever they are.
