What a crazy thing for him to say. This really makes me think of "Road to Serfdom" and how Hitler started his secret police. Is he merely proposing beefing up the National Guard, or an entirely new force? However, if domestic terrorism began ratcheting up this would be the way the wind blows. Still, individual ownership of handguns and concealed-carry would do far more to put off terrorists than a new domestic force. That's the experience of Israel anyway.
