Asked about creation and evolution, Bush said: "I think you can have both. I think evolution can — you're getting me way out of my lane here. I'm just a simple president. But it's, I think that God created the earth, created the world; I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution."

Interviewer Cynthia McFadden asked Bush if the Bible was literally true.
"You know. Probably not. ... No, I'm not a literalist..."

Hummm... easy to say now that he doesn't require the religious vote?

Funny... I have never had a conflict with a Creator ('nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever could') and Evolution. My guess is that Evolution is just the tool that the Creator chooses to use.
'Random chance' isn't even sufficient explanation for random chance, so there's obviously something smarter than us out there.
Mind you, whatever It is doesn't have to be omniscient...just smarter than us.
Nor omnipotent...just more powerful than us.
Nor omnibenevolent...my vote is for strictly neutral or apathetic. After all, we're not omnibenevolent, are we?
No, I have no explanation of a Creator, nor do I have to--it just seems obvious to me there must be One. So far as a religious way of life? Jesus has far and away the best ideas, in my book... but again, I DON'T KNOW.
The 'Son of God?'
He called himself the 'Son of Man.'
To each his/her own.
We'll all find out about six seconds after we die.

You are quite obviously not an Evangelical beholden to the GOP Evangelical approved candidate.

Obvious via causality?
