The key players are now all in place in Washington and in state governments across America to officially label carbon dioxide as a pollutant and enact laws that tax we citizens for our carbon footprints. Only two details stand in the way, the faltering economic times and a dramatic turn toward a colder climate. The last two bitter winters have lead to a rise in public awareness that CO2 is not a pollutant and is not a significant greenhouse gas that is triggering runaway global warming.

Skeptic here. And even if carbon dioxide were causing global warming, it would not justify the totalitarian statist legislation proposed by the Left.

Skeptic as well.
If the statists really wanted to solve the "problem" they'd do away with the largest source of methane on earth: the wetlands—make some really big parking lots so we have a place to put our gas guzzeling cars. ;)
Some climatologist are even saying the earth is showing signs of heading into another ice age.

Politics determines science, lately--or, what passes for science to pseudo-intellectual knotheads.
It was -6(F) this a.m. in Kansas City. It will be seventy in two days, they say.
I remember weather patterns like that when I was five (1971).
How about the temperature measurements on Mars from the satellites? They show a similar temperature deviation to Earth's. What does that mean, if anything? A similar cause? A change in the biggest common factor to each, like the Sun?
Naw, couldn't be that... then the enviro-wackos would have to change their tune, and it would cost them both money and prestige. Never happen.
